Two subcultures collide on the front of the Punkzilla Men’s Unisex Heavy Cotton T-Shirt, and neither one backs down. The city-leveling kaiju of postwar monster cinema has swapped atomic breath for a guitar amp, which makes him a creature who now flattens downtown as a matter of stage presence rather than instinct.

The lettering across the top is torn rather than typeset, the way a flyer looks after it has been photocopied one too many times. Behind it a lighting truss burns cold white above a skyline built from cyan, magenta, and acid yellow. Down at the monster’s feet the stage has collapsed entirely into a field of broken concrete, and a billboard off to the left carries nothing but a scrawled anarchy sign. The whole thing is dense enough that people keep spotting new pieces of it days after they start wearing it.
